Jay Norman
Clarinet

Currently the Principle Clarinetist with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs,
and co-principle clarinet with the Pueblo Symphony. Jay has founded and played
in many different ensembles in the Pikes Peak region. He has studied with
several previous principle clarinetists from the Colorado Springs Symphony and
Philharmonic. He believes in having a challenging and supportive environment
with a strong foundation in theory and emphasis on sound production and reed and
instrument maintenance.

Diane has degrees in Saxophone Performance, Music education, and Jazz Studies
from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over twenty five years of
teaching and playing experience, and is a woodwind repair expert. She loves
teaching beginners of all ages.
Carla Scott
Oboe

Carla has a B.A. at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, and also has post
graduate study of Oboe with Liviu Varcol, Frankfurt Radio Orchestra and David T.
Abosch, Denver Symphony, as well as at Colorado College and UCCS. She has over
forty years of playing experience in many ensembles in the Pikes Peak Region
including the Pikes Peak Philharmonic, Pueblo Symphony and Chamber Orchestra of
the Springs. She has taught elementary and middle school band, had a private
teaching studio and been a free lance musician for more then forty years.
Phil Puterbaugh

Phil is a graduate of the United States Naval School of Music in Norfolk,
Virginia, and did correspondence work with the Berkley School of Music in
Boston. He has over fifty years experience teaching all ages and on many
instruments, and has played professionally for over fifty years. He has received
private instruction on his many instruments and music theory. He is especially
patient and good with beginners, and teaches a variety of learning styles.
Bob Braidwood
Saxophone

Bob has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance From S.M.U. He grew up locally,
and was a high school all-American and played Sax in the National Jazz and
Symphonic Bands. He has taught Saxophone at Graner Music since 1985. He strives
to make music fun while preparing students for the level of honor bands and
extracurricular music involvement. He consistently gets students placed in State
level bands, and one year taught three of the five saxophone players in the All
State Jazz Band.
Nicole Buetti
Bassoon

Nicole has been playing the bassoon for 15 years and has a BA of Music from UNC
in Bassoon Performance, Music Theory and Composition. She has served as
principle in many symphonies and orchestras and is currently the principle with
the Santa Monica Chamber Orchestra. She has recieved many awards, grants and
honors and has been the featured soloist for the Assisi Music Festival and a
member of the Hayden Festival Orchestra in Vienna.
